Anglo American Modikwa Platinum Mine in Steelpoort, South Africa contacted Soil & Dust Solutions, our local agent, seeking a solution for dust control on roads throughout and surrounding the mine. After a site assessment, it was determined that if the roads were prepared and shaped properly a surface seal using EBS Soil Stabilizer would be the correct solution for their needs. Soil & Dust Solutions instructed the mine on the proper preparation needed to ensure a successful application and after proper preparation of the road surfaces the EBS was applied to the surface providing a wearing course that is protected from erosion, has improved visibility as surface dust was eliminated, does not require any future watering or grading, is non-slippery, is UV and weather-resistant, is PM10 and PM2.5 compliant in terms of dust control and does not stick to vehicles or tires.
