Great Basin Gold Burnside Mine Dust Control Application

Soil & Dust Solutions was called to Great Basin Gold Mine, South Africa, to assess their dust problem in the maintenance area; decline; and underground. As a result Great Basin proceeded with an order for product and application services of Soil & Dust Solutions to treat the combined area of 2,100 sqm.  The equipment which was originally requested could not be made available, but rather than delay the project Soil & Dust Solutions managed to use 2 two metre long steel channel irons the same size as the forks on the forklift, which in effect extended the forks as an extension to create a platform on which to hold the container of product.  This was a perfect solution as it also allowed access to the underground areas for treatment.
